3.  Your children qualify for pupil premium funding from the government.  This money comes directly to the school to support your children.  We have to account for how we use this money and the positive impact it has.  We want you to be more involved in how this money is used in a personalised way for your children. Why have you been invited?

4.  A club exclusively for pupils at Earl Spencer Primary School who qualify for pupil premium funding.  Just over 10% of the funding is made available for you to take responsibility for.  A range of ‘vouchers’ are offered from which you and your child can choose how to spend £150 during the year. What is Premium Club?

6.  Choose what is important to you and your child on the voucher choice sheet up to a value of £150.  The vouchers you have requested will be sent to you with your child’s name and class printed on.  The school Burser will keep a spreadsheet to monitor the spending for each child.  The voucher choice sheet will remind you of the timescale for using your vouchers. How do you use the vouchers?

7.  Some vouchers are flexible e.g. school uniform, and will be issued straight away to be used anytime up to the end of March.  Some vouchers e.g. book fair, are for a specific date and will be issued just before they are needed.  Some vouchers e.g. stationary pack will be issued when the order forms are available. The voucher choice sheet will give an indication of when this will occur.  The Junior Active Membership does not require a voucher to be issued. The office will contact Trilogy directly and send them a cheque for £100. How do you use the vouchers?

8.  The wild card is the most flexible voucher.  Last year families used this voucher for payment towards a range of things including:  Computer tablet  A telescope  Dancing lessons (external)  Karate, gymnastics, dance club in school  Check with Staff that your wild card choice is OK then bring in the receipt or ask the organisation to invoice school. 11.  Can I request multiples of vouchers e.g. 2x school uniform vouchers?  No, the offer is designed to give a balance of opportunities for your child so the voucher total is the most you can spend on that particular thing.  Can I use my wild card to spend on school uniform?  No the wild card is for an item or experience that will further enrich your child’s learning. Please discuss your ideas with a member of staff.  Can I have change from my voucher?  No, this is a ‘virtual’ system for parents. All the money is handled by the school office.  Can I swap my voucher later on  No, think carefully about your choices because once the personalised vouchers are produced the money is allocated to that specific activity.
