By using the distance and depth data of a river channel, the cross-section can be drawn. End

Samples here were taken from 15 points. These points are not necessarily evenly distributed because the distance can be changed. End

Let’s change the distance of point 9 from 10 to 30. Notice the changes of the graph and in the readings of the total area, wetted perimeter and hydraulic radius. End

Now, let’s change the depth of point 11 from 4 to 10. End
