2. MEASURING In the next few minutes we will learn how to measure using weight, dimensions, and temperature of different objects and materials. We will also discuss the measurement tools that we need to do this.

3. There are many words to describe dimensions. We use: length, width, height, long, short, wide, narrow, tall and taller to name a few.

4. We use a ruler or meter stick to measure the length, width, or height of something. The unit of measure for a ruler or a meter stick is in inches or centimeters.

Using units of measure, we use inches and centimeters, yards and meters when measuring. And we use the tools: ruler, meter stick, balance, scale, and thermometer.
