12 The contributes identity

13 CONTRIBUTOR IDENTITY WHO AM I?
NON-CONTRIBUTORS AND CONTRIBUTORS DEFINE THEMSELVES DIFFERENTLY CONTRIBUTORS CHOOSE “DYNAMIC IDENTITY” NON-CONTRIBUTORS HAVE ‘STATIC IDENTITY’

14 STATIC IDENTITY Non-contributors usually define themselves in terms of
What they have acquired in life (e.g. qualifications , position, years of experience ,etc) This is a static identity based on your glories or past failures. this static identity leaves you trapped in history

15 Traits of a static person
Qualifications and awards Only think about himself and his personal goals or achievements Power and position Boastful about his power and position, using his power and position only for himself. Past achievement Pride for his past achievement and hence losing focus on his current goals Knowledge gained Bounded by the knowledge gained by him.

16 Dynamic person Contributors define themselves I terms of what they will Become or accomplish (e.g.capacity to deliver commitment and ownership of organization’s purpose ,etc) this is a dynamic identity based on your “being” and “ becoming” Such an identity lets you choose to live a better future.

17 Traits of a dynamic person
The difference I can make to the world Acts responsible not only towards him, but also to the people around him. The responsibility I carry He is the one to make the deference to the world with his power or knowledge . My future potential for contribution Not proud about his glories and looks for further achievements. Willingness to learn and grow Having willingness to learn and grow Not restricted to any boundaries

18 Personality Static identity Dynamic identity Conservative Self center
Limited to goals Self oriented No interest in the other affairs then their goals Not helpful to other Broad minded Aim oriented Unlimited goals Interest in the other affairs other then their goals Always ready to help serve as share their knowledge and whatever power they possesses.

19 Persons we observed A peon (named x) A teacher (named y)

Static behaviors Dynamic behaviors Not willing to work more than the office hours Although his qualifications are limited , he take pride in his work. Always ready to help the people around him Willingness to do the work other than the work assigned to him

21 Static behaviors Dynamic behaviors
Persons y-the teacher Extensive knowledge and skills. Being punctual. Unable to develop sufficient time to the students. Has a vision for the college’s growth and takes steps in order to improve the college’s reputation. Static behaviors Dynamic behaviors Unable to devote time to the students, hence not able to help them out . Proud about the knowledge gained . Punctual about the work. Looks for the betterment of the organization.

22 Person z- the bus conductor
Performs his assigned duties for the sake doing it. Asks for change from the passengers, even when he has one. Not willing to help the people. Static behaviors Dynamic behaviors Z does not offer his reserved seat to the needy ones (e.g. to old aged people). Not helping people, even when he could have. -

23 Conclusions: X(peon) Y(teacher ) Z(bus conductor)
X has a dynamic identity. We learnt that, even though you work for a limited period, work efficiently. Help out the people around you and make the difference. Y has a dynamic identity We learn how to impart the knowledge possessed by one to the others. Devoted time to the people to whom you can help. Contribute not only to your self but also to the institution and its welfare. Z has a static identity His unhelpful behavior creates inconvenience to the passengers on the bus. If you are in possession of some authority or power ,help the people around you.

24 Embarking on the Journey to Contributorship

25 Embarking on the Journey to the Contributorship
First step : From “Victim” to “Creator of my own destiny” Second step: Being the willingness to take full responsibility for one’s own development Third Step: Being the Capacity to reflect on one’s development and making appropriate modifications

26 Victims Vs Contributors
Believe circumstances are more powerful than they are Believe that they as human beings, can shape the circumstances they are in Live in the comfort of the known Willing to fail and grow beyond the known Constantly blame others for their Circumstances or problems Take responsibility for their own problems and solves Depend upon others to find answers for them Rely on themselves and their own solutions(instead of waiting for others to find answers)

27 Embarking on the Journey to Contributorship
From “Victim” to “Creator of my own Destiny” one should come out form his “comfort zone”. Victim: Do not try new things. live in the comfort of the known. contributor : try the new things. Willing to fail and grow beyond the known.

28 Contributors are willing to step out of their “comfort zone” and try out new things
Prabhu Kastoorirajan is a actor. His screen name is Dhanush . although he is a actor but he try new thing , he sing a song which is written by him self. He come out his comfort zone and do the thing in which he is not professional. the song written and sung by him is become very popular and every one give him praised him.

29 Contributors Choose to fill own life with ‘meaningful’ and ‘fulfilling’ activities
Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan is an indian film actor. He first gained popularity in the early 1970s as the “angry young man” of bollywood and has since appeared in over 180 indian films in a carrer spanning more than four decades.

30 While filming coolie in 1982,Bachchan was seriously injured during the filming of a fight scene with co-star punnet Issar. He was in the hospital with a ruptured intestine for months and at times was close to death. A remarkable outpouring of support and concern by his fan and the nation in general followed. After recovering, Bachchan resumed shooting for coolie and it finally realeased as a huge success owing to its pre-release publicity.

31 Lance ArmStrong

32 Lance Armstrong – A former American racing cyclist won TOUR DE FRANCE record seven consecutive times after having survived from Testicular Cancer And Yuvraj Singh is also fighting against the Cancer.

33 Contributors Rely on themselves, instead of waiting for others to solve their problems
APJ Abdul Kalam used to work as news paper Distributor to financially support his family. Now from his Hard work and ambitions he has become the Space Scientist and also serve India as ex-President

34 Conclusion So we’re trying to sell you all is that
All the major contributors in present or past have gone through many obstacles but and every time they had to chose between two roads and they chose “Not To Give UP” And this is what makes them special. SO here we can Conclude that these people to gain the title of “Contributor”had to go off books or syllabous

35 Thank you
