2 Class Creation Courses will be created with a cross walk of standards and competencies A separate term will be created within the semester for CBE classes only This will prevent interference with traditional classes as we move forward and make changes Classes will be semester based – not open entry/open exit Following traditional add/drop periods Student can complete as many competencies (classes) as desired within the term

3 Grading/Competency Evaluation Normal grade mode will be assigned Classes will be evaluated by competency completion for each standard The grading process will not change from traditional grading A/F Transcripts will not require any altering Allowing transfer to be seamless If desired, competency certificates will be issued

4 Registration/Billing Students will follow the traditional registration processes Traditional add/drop periods Tuition will be a flat fee of $1000. per semester Regardless of start Traditional refund policies Student can complete as many competencies (classes) as desired within the term

5 Financial Aid Students will be awarded and disbursed federal student aid in 2 payment types: Direct Costs- paid each time the student completes and begins next competencies Indirect Costs-paid in regular intervals throughout the enrollment period Evaluating academic progress Will occur at least once a semester to determine if the student has completed enough competencies within the established timeframe. If a prior learning assessment is required for the program, federal student aid may be awarded for the time spent in preparing for the assessment Academic credit must be provided when the student successfully demonstrates prior learning through this assessment.

6 Faculty Contract No changes to current faculty contract requirements HR contract requirements must be met Based on the number of credits taught No changes to preceptor contract requirements 40 hour week employees
