2. Cherry blossom festival ‘hanami’, Japan

3. We went to look at the cherry blossom

6. We picked a cherry blossom and looked at it in class

7. We also picked a leaf from the cherry tree

8. We made a rubbing of the leaf with a transfer crayon

9. Then we ironed the rubbing onto the fabric

10. We printed some petal shapes onto fabric and added this to the background to make the picture We added stitches, 3D paint, fabric pastels and beads to the flowers Here are our pictures…

22. Water The cherry tree grows well in our climate because there is plenty of rain
