How to Use this Book Teach students who are difficult to understand strategies for repairing communication breakdowns for example, “repeat, rephrase, repair” meaning if someone understands they can repeat it, then say it a different way and then use other techniques. Some children will be able to point. For others you may need to point to each item and ask yes or now questions. Teaching frustration tolerance with communication repair strategies is essential. Print and laminate some or all of the page that will be helpful. Keep copies in easy reach at all times.
