2 Agents of Social Change Enterprising people are agents of social change. Respond to needs and wants in order to improve the lives of others or to contribute to the community. They choose their work so they can fulfill their personal goals and visions. In their free time they do volunteer work that also contributes to the well being of the community.  Ex. My grandma, Craig Keilberger, Hedley, Bono from U2, Kerry, the owner of the Lazy Loon, Interact Members, etc.

3 Stakeholders of a company  Who is impacted by decisions made by the company/entrepreneur? Who are the stake holders of a company?

4 Social responsibility contribute positively to your community The goal of a socially responsible business is to have a positive impact on society while achieving business success. society is demanding more that businesses consider social and community consequences when making their decisions. consumers, and employees of these businesses want to know that companies they invest in, buy from, and work for have business practices that positively impact society while achieving financial success.

5 How does a business act socially responsible? Treats its employees fairly Makes decisions that help protect the environment Contributes to charities Contributes to community development

6 Social Entrepreneurship  identifies and solves social problems on a large scale.  act as the change agents for society, seizing opportunities others miss in order to improve systems, invent and disseminate new approaches and advance sustainable solutions that create social value.
