3.  Satire can be used strictly for amusement but more often it is used to point out flaws that need to be corrected.  It is a humorous way to bring about change and positively influence society.

4.  The Onion  A fake newspaper that “reports” on events in America and the world.  Often points out racism and inequality in their “stories.”

5.  Comedy Central  A syndicated “news” program with a focus on Washington politics.  In 2009 was voted the most trusted news source.
