Important dates Commencement: Sunday, May 25 th, 2014 Commencement shifts: Limited: Saturday May 17 th – Thursday May 22 nd Mandatory: Friday May 23 rd, Saturday May 24 th, & Sunday May 25 th Application due Friday, April 18 th at 5pm Hiring decisions and shift assignments released Wednesday, April 23 rd Hiring paperwork- extended SMO hours Thursday April 24 th – Wednesday, April 30th

I9/W4 Required by FEDERAL LAW Purpose: to prove that you are authorized to work in US and to allow employer to withhold correct federal income tax Original, unexpired documents Need to write legibly and without any mistakes Takes up to a week for your paperwork to get processed, and you may not work until it is!! Deadline for getting I9/W4 paperwork in is Wednesday, April 30.

Commencement Housing Information Must currently live on campus What we need to provide you housing: Brown ID number Current Room Number Roommate request & their Brown ID Extended Housing Fee Please note: You will be required to move from one room to the other unless you live in Commencement- designated housing

Where do we need help? Catering Services Catering Prep Blue Room/Tents Ratty Kitchen/Bakeshop/Main Dining Room

Catering Services All hours! Setup, serving, clean up Professional supervision and guidance at each event Large and small functions Black uniform Work events for alumni, graduates, and their families

Catering Prep Assemble orders and supplies for Catering Department Gather, check, and load equipment Open 6am to midnight Detail-oriented work No customers, no serving food All behind-the-scenes work

Blue Room/Tents Work in the Blue Room or “satellite” tents on Main Green Stock self-service items in tents or cashier Tent assignment is rain or shine Provide regular Blue Room services

Ratty Kitchen/Bakeshop Early morning to mid- afternoon Bakeshop Pastry arrangements Decorating cupcakes Kitchen Appetizer arrangements May assist with cutting vegetables

Ratty Dining Room Morning and some afternoon shifts Restocking plates, utensils Keeping Main Dining Room clean

Pay Rates New workers: $8.75/hour Current BuDS workers will receive their current pay rate

What do we expect from you? Complete paperwork I9, W4, & contract Punctuality Come in dress code Shirts with sleeves, pants, closed toed shoes, hats Follow food and safety regulations Food safety impacts health! Cooperation
