3. Ticket Validation  Type in the First Name and Last Name exactly as it provided to you  Type in the ticket number given to you Click to continue

5. Almost done …  Type in your OWN CREATED name and password to access the online portal Serf_rider *** Click to log in for the first time!

7. You’ve logged on.. and you’re starting out on your module  The Menu Table is displayed at the bottom of every page –Online Syllabus –Assignments and Self Assessed Quizzes –Communication via Email –Systems and Discussion Forums

8. Syllabus Online  Current Class –Takes you to “today’s” work –Class dates are shown to keep you “on track” through the term. –Your learning centre will also give a schedule of dates for local face-to-face class

9. Syllabus Online  Brief and Detailed Index Take an overview look at your module online work. You can click on any of the topics to go directly to them

11. Assignments and quizzes  Inspect and quiz grades Online quizzes are to help reinforce your understanding of the topic – The marks are not part of your assessment

15. Communciation  Email listings for academic and class cohort Make sure you have set up internet mail, or have outlook or outlook express on your computer to send mail. Please remember, all email from WEC will only be sent to you through your wecouncil email account!

16. Discussion Online  Forums and Discussion Rooms You can change your password and switch between the courses you are registered to study in this session Go to next slide to see the selected forum discussion

17. Discussion Rooms  Forums and Discussion Rooms You can add you comments to any discussion forum. Module Leaders will be expecting you to take part in the online module discussions

18. Topic Completion  Tell your online tutor whenever you complete a class section Your module leader will be looking to see when you have completed the section of the online coursework. Don’t forget when you see this section in your syllabus, to “tick” the box when you’re finished

19. Online Resources Online resources provide a vast amount of information related to your module topic Rules and regulations Assignment and Exam Forms online

20. Faculty and Staff  Who are the staff involved in my study? Course Leader The Course Leader is responsible for the entire programme for academic issues Module Leader The Module Leader is the specialist module tutor and will guide your through the module online. Facilitator The Facilitator is also a module specialist tutor who will guide you through the programme In class sessions at your centre. WEC Representative The WEC Representative in your centre is there to support you and help with any problems you may have. They are your link to WEC for academic or administrative issues Online Administrator If you have problems accessing online, or using your assigned wecouncil.com Email account – the Online Administrator will assist you Registrar The registrar ensures all you assessments are marked and recorded efficiently by WEC’s academic team
