Terms to Know Panel – the drawn lines, generally rectangular, that enclose a drawing and text in a story. Represents one segment of a story. Gutter – the space between the panels Splash page – the first page of a story, with a large introductory illustration. Title – the name of the story

Terms to know, cont…. Splash balloon – An outline around lettering done in a jagged shape. Credits – where all the names of the creators are.

Homework – 4/21/12 (Seniors - 4/15/12) 1. Super Hero Plan - 1 proportionally correct, muscular figure -design an outfit (tights, cape, boots, mask, etc.) - Color and shade - list name, super powers/strengths, and alter ego

Homework 2. Draw your superhero in an action pose (running, flying, jumping, kicking) – Must be proportionally correct and wearing its superhero outfit – @ least 2 limbs bent

Homework 3. Draw a room in 1-pt. perspective. -Window(s) must have ledges, artwork on walls -doors must have @ least a wood grain texture, a window, and a door knob -Rug -Furniture (table, sofa/chair) -must be colored and inked
