6. What is the difference between superhuman & supernatural? Superhuman – This is a person with abilities that other humans don’t have Batman, X-men characters, Achilles Supernatural – This is not a human. Spirits, ghosts, witches monsters, etc

7. Divine Intervention – Divine intervention is when the hero receives help from a god or another supernatural force. (This happens often in epics) Ex: Athena urges Achilles not to fight Agamemnon, Gandalf helps Frodo escape the dragon.

8. The Epic Hero – “The epic hero is the central character of the epic. 9. Example EQ Response from Block 1 “In the long run, yes, I do think that good will always overcome evil, but evil always has its time when it overcomes good. For example, the Holocaust, millions of people died, and Hitler got away with it for a long time, but in the end he died, his country crumbled, the Nazi Party was completely obliterated in Germany. Some of the Nazi leaders that fled to South America were eventually hunted down and punished for their crimes. So in the long run good won, but evil still had its time.”
