5 Final Results Final results of election-
Most of Federalists controlled congress like Burr for President Hamilton convinces House to vote for Jefferson because he hated Burr and had respect for Jefferson. House of Representatives votes Jefferson as president with 36 votes. First time one political party will replace another Led to the creation of the 12th Amendment in 1804 creates separate ballot for President and Vice President
