3 EXAMPLE 1 st paragraph Some people think that global warming is a fiction. Others hope that the government will take steps to solve the problem. Climatology experts who study global weather patterns say that rising temperatures have already begun to change the melting rate of the polar ice caps in a way that will result in dramatic consequences for our life on earth.

4 Sentence #2 see TS/IS p. 37: verb list Others – Choose one: deny, hope, say the opposite, do not even care, pray, wish, opine, think – THAT Y (will take care of it, will solve the problem, will make it unnecessary to think about it)

5 Sentence #3 Experts who – Choose one: study, know, research, observe, comprehend, work on the problem – of X say that Z (introduce another concern)

6 Remainder of the essay Paragraph or section #2 contains examples of the fiction.
