Logging into Moodle and the ARRC for the First Time* Moodle uses Active Directory for login authentication. Active Directory is the database used for the district computer logins. This means that once a teacher (or student) has a computer login they will have access to Moodle as well. The process of editing your profile will only need to be completed once. *Please request the enrollment key for the ARRC from your ITS before logging in Moodle. Go to http://moodle.roundrockisd.org

Moodle Home Screen Your username and password for Moodle will be the same one that you use to log onto the computer. Go to http://moodle.roundrockisd.org/http://moodle.roundrockisd.org/ Username- campus number+last name first initial Password-what ever you usually use to log onto your computer Ex: Username-125owend Password-My normal computer login See next page for Digital Certificate message.

Digital Certificate Message You might see this message box. If so, just click OK. Next you will be forced to edit you profile. This will only occur on your first login to Moodle.

Profile Screenshot When you first login you will be forced to edit your profile. *Please use you RRISD email address. If you have a problem, please email Donna_Owen@roundrockisd.org.Donna_Owen@roundrockisd.org IMPORTANT-Put Teacher and campus abbreviation instead of City/Town. You may upload a profile Image here or just leave it blank. Use must use your RRISD address! Your name is tied to Active Directory. Do not make any name changes here. It is normal to just have an initial for your first name. If your name is incorrect please contact your ITS. Be sure to click here to update profile.

You should now see the ARRC contents. *Moodle uses British English Enrolling in the ARRC Once your profile is complete click on RRISD –LMS to go back to the Moodle Home page. On the lower left side of the page click on “ARRC” under Course Categories. Click on the subcategory of your school or course level. Next click on your grade level or subject area. Scroll down to enter enrollment key and click “*Enrol me in this Course”. Your ITS can provide you with the enrollment key for the ARRC. The enrollment key is the same for every grade level and subject in the ARRC. You may enroll in multiple courses.

Adding a Desktop Icon and Logging Out To add a desktop icon that links directly to this course, click on File in the upper left corner of your screen. From the dropdown menu click Send. Then click Shortcut to Desktop. You will now have an icon on your desktop that will take you directly to this ARRC course after logging into Moodle. Log out of the ARRC by clicking log out it the upper right corner of the course.
