Functions of the Turfgrass Information Center Collect and preserve materials relating to turfgrass science, culture, and the management of turfgrass-based facilities, such as golf courses, parks, sports fields, residential lawns, sod farms, roadsides, institutional grounds, and other managed landscapes.

O. J. Noer Memorial Turfgrass Collection First established in 1968. Continues to be built from donations and purchases of historic publications by the O.J. Noer Research Foundation. Provides the foundation upon which TGIF is built.

Turfgrass Information File (TGIF) Only bibliographic database in the world focusing on turf culture. Covers worldwide literature, regardless of turf sector, and regardless of audience. Now contains over 86,000 records.

Assist users of the collection, by helping them identify, locate, and acquire materials.

Services of the Turfgrass Information Center Technical support for online users of TGIF. Cooperate to support wider full-text availability. Cooperate to increase the range of information resources available to users. Assist visiting scholars with the Collection and using TGIF. Supply document delivery within copyright restrictions. Solicit user feedback on database content and interfaces.
