9 Debate Get into groups of four, and as a group, add to your charts two more arguments from the WKAR report or ideas of your own for each side of the issue When you’re done you’ll be assigned to a position on the topic and have five minutes to prepare to debate, including what each member will focus on and your speaking order Each group member will talk for 60 seconds before the other side has its turn for rebuttal The last person in each group will summarize their side in 90-120 seconds While you’re watching the other teams debate write down any ideas not already in your chart, and put an X in the narrow columns of your chart next to any ideas there that the other teams mention
