2. Capybaras Capybaras live for 8-10 years

5. The Capybara comes from South America and lives in areas where there are trees, grass and water.

7. They also spend a lot of time wallowing in the mud.

8. Capybaras are social animals and can be found in groups as large as 100, but usually lives in groups of 10–20.

We always see Capybaras whenever we go to Brazil to visit family. Where my Nan works there are lots. My nana had to hold me.

10. Look how brave my Dad and Grandad are in having their photo taken with the Capybaras so close to them.

Capybaras eat their own poo.
They may also regurgitate (Vomit) food to chew it again, similar to a cow.
The front teeth and cheek teeth of Capybaras grow continually to compensate for the constant wear from eating grass.
