Occlusion and Malocclusion Normal (ideal) occlusion –Mandibular teeth are in maximum contact with maxillary teeth and spaced normally –Maxillary anterior teeth overlap incisal edge of mandibular anterior teeth by 2 mm –Maxillary posterior teeth are one cusp distal to mandibular posterior teeth

Angle’s Classification Neutroclusion –Cusp of maxillary cuspid (canine) occludes between distal of mandibular cuspid and mesial of mandibular first bicuspid
