Fun Facts About A Rabbit
Rabbits often sleep with their eyes open to alarm them of enemies. A female rabbit is called a doe. A male is called a buck. More than half of the worlds rabbits live in North America

Habitat Rabbits can live in meadows, woods, forests, wetlands, grasslands, and even deserts. You will find a rabbit in North America, southwestern Europe, southeastern Asia, Sumatra, islands of Japan, parts of Africa, and South America. All rabbits except cottontails live in burrows.

Food For The Rabbit Rabbits are herbivores that feed by grazing on grass, forbs, and leafy weeds. Rabbits usually eat in the late afternoon.

Rabbit Kits Baby rabbits are called kits. Kits are born blind and hairless. 10 days after they are born, the kits will open their eyes and begin to crawl. 14-21 days after they’re born they can eat solid food.

Enemies Cats, bobcats, cougars, leopards, foxes, eagles, dingoes, wolves, and coyotes all eat rabbit.

Body Of A Rabbit Rabbit ears can be as long as 4’’. Rabbits are small mammals with fluffy, short tails. While many people think rabbits are the size of a cat, some rabbit species can be as big as a child and small as 8’’
