2 Session 4 – Session 4 – Divine Pedagogy and Human Methodology 1.Divine Pedagogy refers to principles by which God has shared His life with us. a.The pedagogy of God refers to His slow, patient, Fatherly guidance, both in the lives of the individual but also with His people as a whole. b.The pedagogy of Christ is seen in His Incarnation and in His entire life, in which He worked through words, signs and works, especially to the poor and sinners. Methodologies: a.Are to be diverse, but never against the principles of the Gospel. b.Are at the service of Revelation, that is, a relationship with Jesus Christ and all that He has revealed to us through Scripture and Tradition under the authority of the magisterium. Given His actions (healings, miracles, teachings, sacrifice, etc), what can we learn about God’s pedagogy, that is, His principles of passing on the Faith to us? b.How can catechetical methods both serve and hurt our catechetical endeavors? Please give examples. c.Put together a session based on the ‘Ecclesia Method’ below. Use the blank form below.
