2. PDS Big Buddy What is it for? –To make friends! –To learn what others have to know about dentistry –For you to be able to say you know at least someone in the club

3. PDS Big Buddy How does it work? –1 st and 2 nd years will be paired up with 3 rd and 4 th + years –Upperclassmen will be the big buddy to the underclassmen (this doesn’t mean that upperclassmen are the boss!)

4. PDS Big Buddy Requirements? –One ‘hangout’ with your buddy (go out to eat, do hw together …etc) –Be at one PDS meeting together –Everything else is up to you! (share all of your wonderful insights with one another)

5. PDS Big Buddy What do I get from this? –More friends! –More information about dentistry! –One point towards your three points needed to be an active member for the club

6. PDS Big Buddy What happens if I sign up to get the point, but don’t pull through on the requirements? –Catherine will be very mad >:[ –You lose the point given to you AND have another point taken away (you can end up with negative points) The reason for doing this is because it is very discouraging to have a buddy bail out on you or a buddy who doesn’t care and just wants their points

7. PDS Big Buddy So now what? –Sign up list for people who want to participate –List of buddy pairs will be given out at next meeting –Buddy pairs will switch off every month or so –Evaluation filled out at end of each buddy switch-off to find out how the program is going, what you liked/disliked about the program…etc.
