Indicate whether the person needing assistance is KN or US for language reasons.  Notify area supervisor USAG Daegu DPW Emergency Plan  Call 911, provide name, location and the closest building  Have someone call Security 764-4141(CW), 765-8310(CC) – give same info as above and exact location of person requiring attention  Try to keep individual calm and reassure medical help is on the way Medical Emergency  Pull fire alarm – alert everyone in immediate area  Call 911 and Security 764-4141, 765-8310 – give specific location of fire  Evacuate the building and proceed to closest staging area FIRE         Do not move the package Cover it with a large paper or empty trash can Turn off any fans or air conditioning units in the area Evacuate the immediate area Notify area supervisor, call Security 4-4141 or 5-8310 Don’t open, smell, touch or taste Treat it as suspect Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water after touching package Suspicious Mail or Package We care! If you suspect an NBC incident, follow the guidelines listed below. Always remember that early notification can save your life and the lives of our friends and co- workers. NBC Safety Guidelines As follow:  Stay Calm  Notify Security – 764-4141 or 765-8310  Notify the Area Supervisor  Identify Emergency and Location  When and Where the incident occurred  Follow Directions of the Emergency Response Team Protect yourself by:  Covering your nose and mouth with a cloth  Taking shallow breaths  NOT Panicking  NOT tasting, eating, smelling or touching anything  Evacuating the scene for a safe area  Following self-decontamination rules: -Remove contaminated clothing -Washwith plenty of cold water -Use soap if available Observe your surroundings – be alert to these warning signs:  Any unusual signs and indicators at your site  Any unusual odors or smells  Pools of liquid with no obvious source  Fog or clouds indoors  Unusual devices or things out of place  Signs of explosives  Individuals exhibiting medical symptoms or signs of distress  Environmental signs (dead animals, birds or insects in the area) Common Sense Checklist Note the following  Location of the event  Number of victims  Symptoms of injured persons  Incidence of fire or explosion  Type of vehicle or container involved  Specific indicators of an NBC event  Location for meeting emergency responders Nuclear, Biological & Chemical NBC Plan Telephone Checklist When receiving an NBC threat, it is important to obtain as much information as possible from the caller. NBC threats will be evaluated much like bomb threats.  Be calm and courteous  Immediately report any threat to Security 4-4141 or 5-8310 and your supervisor Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Plan Checklist Exact wording of threat:: Inform the caller that the area is currently occupied and his action my cause serious injury to individuals in the area.
