-AT&T began in 1875 with founder Alexander Graham Bell’s invention of the telephone -During the 1800’s, AT&T became a parent company of the Bell System, which had the best telephone service in the world -The Bell System broke into 8 companies in 1984 -AT&T avoids traditional consumer services, and offers consumers and small businesses alternative
