5 Member Qualifications Applicants must be in their third or fourth year of medical school GPA must be maintained at 3.4 or higher Other factors considered: Community service hours, club and research involvement, short essay

6 Application Process Application cycle opens at the beginning of the Fall semester and ends on Nov. 15 of that semester Decisions are made by the admissions committee as well as three faculty members Applications are notified regarding their decision as of Dec. 1 of that fall semester

7 Community Service Members are required to serve 5 hours per semester Must me completed by the last day of the semester We plan to have at least one activity per semester that we encourage all members to attend together. – This semester a handful of us volunteered as a group at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission soup kitchen – We also participated in Step Out, a walk for people with diabetes

8 Financial Report We receive no funding whatsoever from our school – This was decided by the OMSGA based on the fact that we are a selective club Account balance: $150.00 – We held a pie baking/eating contest We plan to host a video game competition this month

9 Goals Increase awareness of our presence on campus Fund raising, esp. family oriented events Have lecturers come that are of interest to all students at school Encourage academic success – We held a meeting for first and second year students to address study tips and discuss what made us successful
