Developmental Psychology Developmental psychologists study human mental and physical growth. Child psych. focus on infants and children Adolescent psych. focus on the teenage years Lifespan psych. focus on the adult years

Physiological Psychology Physiological psychologist investigates the biological basis of human behavior Neuropsychologists- interested in the brain & nervous system Psychobiologists- specialize in the body’s biochemistry Behavioral geneticists- investigate the impact of heredity on both normal and abnormal traits & behaviors

Experimental Psychology Conduct research on basic psychological processes

Personality Psychology Personality psychologists study the differences among individuals in such traits as anxiety, sociability, self esteem, the need for achievement, and aggressiveness.

Clinical & Counseling Psychology Clinical psychologists are interested primarily in the diagnosis, cause, and treatment of psychological disorders Counseling psychologists are concerned primarily with “normal” problems of adjustment that most of us face.
