Notre Dame Club of Atlanta Women Connect Update
2
Overview At Alumni Senate in the Spring of 2009, several clubs presented their initial rollout plans for ND Women Connect. ND Women Connect has been developed as a response for a need voiced by alumnae to have the opportunity to interact with each other socially, professionally, spiritually and through service. Lauren Taylor, Current Club Co-Vice President, Vilija Going and Monise Seward all saw a need for this new initiative in Atlanta and began the exploration of ideas through the summer and early fall of 2009. What is Our Mission? Based on the knowledge gained from other current ND Women Connect groups and our initial brainstorming meeting, we have determined that our mission is: 1)Meet and interact with other alumnae socially 2)Mentor and network with each other for professional development 3)Serve the Atlanta community and embrace our spirituality Who are Our Leaders? Vilija Going, Monise Seward and Lauren Taylor are the current ND Women Connect Atlanta Chairwomen. Kristin Zielmanski is serving as one of our Professional Development committee chairs. Araceli Bonilla, Jennifer Hamamoto, Meg McCarthy and Kristin Kuk are also serving as a part of the steering committee. If you are interested in heading the Professional Development Committee with Kristin, interested in heading the Social Committee or Service/Spiritual Committee or serving as our Communications Manager, please let one of us know! 21/28 responders thus far have said they would be interested!
