Thoracic Cavity Between rib cage and vertebral column. There are 2 pleural cavities around lungs and 1 pericardial cavity around heart. The thoracic cavity includes heart, thymus, lungs, trachea, esophagus and major vessels of the heart

Abdominopelvic Cavity A bdominal cavity has stomach, small intestines, liver, pancreas, spleen and most of the large intestines. The pelvic cavity has the urinary bladder, rest of large intestines and internal reproductive organs. * The diaphragm separates the thoracic and abdominopelvic cavities. It is a muscle.
