This story takes place in Sanderfield, Illinois in 2007. Sanderfield is a fictitious town.
3
This is where I think Sanderfield would be if it existed because some of the characters talk about visiting Lincoln’s house in Springfield, Illinois.

Elizabeth--Bethany’s dead sister Bethany--Elizabeth’s clone Aunt Myrlie--Joss’s mom/ Bethany’s Aunt Joss--Aunt Myrlie’s daughter/ Elizabeth’s best friend and cousin Hillary--Bethany's mom Walter--Bethany’s dad Dalton Van Dyne—Former prisoner

Bethany’s mom is crying nonstop. Her parents drop Bethany at Aunt Myrlie’s house. Bethany thinks her mother is going for treatment. However, her parents are really running from Dalton Van Dyne. While Bethany is at her aunt’s house, she finds out that she is Elizabeth's clone and that her parents are being chased by a former prisoner, Dalton Van Dyne.
6
Bethany’s parents drop her off at Aunt Myrlie's house. Bethany receives a package from her dad that contains four birth certificates, (each for a different Bethany), and 10,000 dollars. Bethany discovers that her family had changed its last name many times before she was old enough to remember her last name.
7
Bethany finds out she is a clone of her dead sister Elizabeth. She finds out that her parents are being chased by a recently released prisoner.
8
Bethany does research about recently released prisoners. She finds out that Dalton Van Dyne has been released recently. The next day her dad calls her and tells her that he is being chased by Dalton Van Dyne. Dalton Van Dyne is chasing Bethany’s dad because Bethany’s dad had been successful cloning Elizabeth and Dalton Van Dyne wants to know how to clone himself. In the end, Bethany lives happily ever after with her parents. As for Dalton Van Dyne, he starts a group home for troubled teenagers with a little help from Joss.

Cloning is taking DNA from a living organism and making an exact copy of it. Identical twins are the result of naturally occurring cloning. In 1996, scientists in Scotland succeeded in cloning the first mammal from an adult cell instead of from an embryo. The result was Dolly the sheep. Developing cloning technology has helped scientists to come up with new ways of producing medicines. The study of cloning has also improved scientists’ understanding of genetics. http://www.animalresearch.info/en/medical/tim eline/Dolly

Dolly was the first mammal successfully cloned from an adult cell. She was born in Scotland in 1996. She died in 2003.

I recommend this book to kids who do not get nightmares easily because it is a really good mystery. The book kept me on the edge of my chair.
