Summer Science UVA rays make our lower skin cells produce more pigment to make our skin darker This is what makes people tan

Summer Science Darker skinned people tan easier, because they already have a lot of melanin Fair skinned people have little melanin so they burn easier

Summer Science Just because you tan easier doesn’t mean you can’t get sun burns You are also still at risk for cancer
