3  Time that prophecy would be fulfilled  Time to bring people out of spiritual darkness  Time to provide spiritual leadership

4  Why Galilee and not Jerusalem?  Galilee was  Where He was raised  Knew the area  Many Jews, lived there

5 And told them to “Repent”

6  Jesus told His hearers that the terrible sin of Chorazin, Bethsaida and Capernaum was that they had seen His mighty works and had not repented (Matt. 11:20-24)  In Lk. 13:3, Jesus commanded, “Except ye Repent ye shall all likewise perish”  In Acts 2:38, Peter told believers, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

9  Repentance is a change of mind  Two sons (Matt. 21:28-32)  Produced by godly sorrow (2 Cor. 7:10)  Involves two things (Psa. 51) Taking responsibility for sin Realizing that sin is against God  Brings forth a change of life (Acts 19:19)

15  Depends  Is there godly sorrow in your heart?  Do you appreciate the goodness of God?  Can you picture yourself on judgment day?
