Prophecies Isaiah 53:7 says, "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.“ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

5. Fullfilling the prophecy On Sunday before the Passover, Jesus entered Jerusalem and in doing so He fulfilled the prophecy from Zechariah, which describes a triumphant King who comes to Zion riding on a colt. (Zechariah 11:9)

A denarius was the wage a worker was paid for a day's work (Matthew 20:2) So Judas was given the equivalent of three months pay. In Zechariah 11:12-13 thirty pieces of silver is referred to as a paltry amount of money compared to anything of real value
