2. Studies on woman participation in the three branches of power Previous studies on woman participation in politics focused mainly on the Government and Parliament. In the framework of EGG research the situation in jurisdiction has also been investigated.

3. Representation of women in jurisdiction

4. Representation of women in jurisdiction is far higher than in the other two branches of power. This is also typical for other accession countries. Still, their presence declines with the importance of the court.

5. Woman judges and prosecutors in the media Women are presented in a gender-neutral way. Example: presentation of three candidates for the main public prosecutor

6. Representation of women in the Government Slovene Government There is only one woman minster. In the media she is presented in a gender-neutral manner.

7. Representation of women in the Government The number of women ministers was highest in the period 2000-2004 when there were 3 of them (18,8%).

8. Representation of women in the Parliament The number of woman deputies has varied between 7,8 and 13,3.

9. Representation of women in the Parliament Except for the period 2000-2004 they have been quite well represented among the presidents of the Parliamentary Commissions...

11. Parliamentary deputies in the media The Slovene Democratic Party that has now won the elections seems to have introduced a new way of presenting women in politics.
