2. Bureaucratic theory The bureaucratic theory is to have specialized people overseeing certain aspects of government, so that it can be run more efficiently. This theory is relevant to the United States Government because the President has different people distributed to different areas and jobs to help them become more efficient. One example currently of the bureaucratic theory is a presidential nomination because the president knows information that causes him to nominate a specific person to a specified job.

3. Hyperpluralism Hyperpluralism is when groups are so powerful that they cause the government to be weakened. When many interest groups or political parties becomes too strong and the government becomes ineffective to make policies; This applies to the U.S government because it is a theory that is formed off of who has control and is in power in the government. A relevant example of hyperpluralism is the stance on abortion or gay marriage because several smaller groups are standing against the government’s policies on the issues and becoming very powerful.

4. Social Contract Social Contract is the belief that the state only exists to serve the will of the people, and they are the source of all political power enjoyed by the state. It relates to the U.S government because the idea was created by the founding fathers at the beginning of the country and influenced the rights of citizens. A good example is the Bill of Rights being added to the constitution. The citizens were willing to have certain rights restricted as long as there is protection for their basic civil and human rights.

5. Declaration of Independence Natural Rights The Declaration of Independence is the document signed on July 4, 1776 to separate the US from Great Britain. It is related to the government because it is the official text that grants Independence and gave birth to the USA. Natural Rights is the political theory that maintains that an individual enters into society with certain basic rights and that no government can deny these rights. Natural Rights are related to the government because the individuals rights are often controlled by the government and these are non deniable. An example of a natural rights are beliefs, thoughts and privacy.

Established a House of Representatives and a Senate This document was relevant to the US government because it was the first Constitution of the USA created under the power of the government that contained several weaknesses and failed. This document is relevant to the US government because it is the current “Supreme Law of the Land” and the document that decisions are based off of in the US Government today.
