Aim: What is Adobe Illustrator?
2
Adobe Illustrator is a vector based drawing program.
3
Vector Graphics Adobe Illustrator uses vectors instead of pixels. Vectors are mathematical objects that use geometric characteristics to define an object. That means that no matter what magnification you look at vector art, the edges will always be sharp. Vector graphics are used in creating logos and specialized text.

Adobe Illustrator is a vector based drawing program. Vector Graphics mathematical objects that are made up of paths. Paths are made up of anchor points and line segments.
6
Paths are made up of anchor points…
7
…and line segments which join two anchor points.
8
There are 2 types of paths…

Selection Tool Click on an object to move, rotate, resize or scale it. Shortcut: V
12
Direct Selection Tool Click on a point or path to select it and move its position. Shortcut: A
13
Fill and Stroke Fill is the color that goes inside the path and the Stroke refers to the outline of the drawn object.
