5. Lecture Notes (pptx Vs ppt) All lecture notes (in Blackboard) will be in the new PowerPoint pptx format (for example: Lecture 170 00.pptx). This is the default format from Microsoft since 2007, so can be opened by any reasonably updated Microsoft Office. In case you have an older version of Microsoft Office or you do not want to buy Microsoft Office, here are some free options: PowerPoint Viewer (from Microsoft, PC only) Open Office (PC and Mac) Just google “powerpoint viewer” and “open office”. Disclaimer: Some equations may not display correctly, so always bring printed notes to class to correct the equations.

6. Homework Mastering Physics http://www.masteringphysics.com All homework will be graded automatically online. You have up to 4 attempts per question. All homework due dates are announced there as well, there will be no separate reminder, so please submit your work on time. Late homework will not be accepted and will receive zero point. Matering Physics Course ID is on the syllabus too, you will need it to register on MasteringPhysics.
