2. 2015 GREATER HOUSTON ASNT ANNUAL GOLF OUTING - TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Number of Players: Team reservations will be held to one hundred forty-four (144)
players. Team player names should be finalized one week prior to the event.
The Outing: The entry fee per player includes the green fee, golf cart, range balls,
sleeve of balls, meals, on course refreshments and more. In the event of a
rain out, the tournament will be rescheduled.
Awards: The 36 teams will consist of three flights. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be
Awarded for each flight. A special award will be given to the team finishing last place
overall . Other individual awards include Men’s and Ladies Longest Drive and Closest
To The Pin.
Format of Play: The tournament will be played in a modified scramble format. On the
1st hole of play, men will hit from the white tee markers and ladies from the red tee
markers. If the team birdies the hole, they move back to the next tee box. If they par,
they stay on the same tee box and if they bogey, they move up one tee box. On the
Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin holes, all men will tee off from the white markers
and the ladies from the red.
Scoring: Bogey will be your friend for the day. If you miss the par putt, score a bogey
and move to the next hole. Also, if your ball is on the green and inside the leather of a
standard putter, it’s a gimmie so score it as a stroke, pick up and move on to the next
hole.
Mulligans: Purchased mulligans can be used for any shot on the course excluding
putts. NO MULLIGANS ALLOWED ON THE PUTTING GREENS.
Raffle: The stubs on all purchased Mulligan tickets will be entered into a drawing for a
Range Finder to be awarded during the post tournament luncheon.
Door Prizes: Various door prizes will be distributed during the post play luncheon.
Food & Drinks: Coffee, fruit juices, breakfast tacos and assorted pastries provided prior
to play. Grilled chicken breast & burgers with all the trimmings for lunch following play.
Drink tickets will be distributed at check-in. On course beverage cart service will be
available.
