Words of Jesus. (John 3:1-5; Mark 16:16) Christ shed His blood for the remission of sins and one is baptized for the same purpose. (Matt. 26:28; Acts 2:38; 22:16; Romans 6:3) In Acts, no one received remission of sins prior to baptism. (Acts 2:38; 8:35-39; 10:47,48; Acts 22:16) All Spiritual Blessings are in Christ. By Grace. (Eph. 2:5) By Faith. (Heb. 11:6; Eph. 2:8) By Repentance. (Acts 11:18) By the Blood of Christ. (Matt. 26:28;Rom. 5:9) By Christ’s Death. (Rom. 5:10) By Christ’s Life. (Rom. 5:10) By Confession and Belief. (Rom. 10:10; Mark 16:16) By Baptism. (1 Peter 3:21; Mark 16:16) These do not contradict one another but complement one another. Each of them in proper perspective has something to do with one’s deliverance from sin.
