5 Attractions The gondola is a traditional, flat-bottomed Venetian rowing boat, well suited to the conditions of the Venetian Lagoon. For centuries gondolas were the chief means of transportation and most common watercraft within Venice. In modern times the iconic boats still have a role in public transport in the city, serving as traghetti (ferries) over the Grand Canal. They are also used in special regattas (rowing races) held amongst gondoliers. It is similar to punting, except it uses an oar to propel it instead of a pole.Their primary role, however, is to carry tourists on rides at established prices. You can take a private gondola ride individually, as a couple, or in a group. There is a public fare table that varies with the chosen itinerary which gondoliers must show passengers in advance. The gondolas near San Mark's Square are said to be more expensive; so it's advisable to walk to a gondola stop farther away. Then choose one gondola and negotiate with the driver if the ride is different from the standard ride. Also money for the stay at the hotel will be about 4 to 5,000 for about a week or two stay. And 4,000 for spending money.

7 Economic Venice is consider a wealthy city. Even in some of the urban places. Everything is surrounded by water so there really isn’t much violence within Venice. The tourist areas are seemingly more attractive then residential places but it still is a beautiful place no matter what part of the city you are in.

8 Impact on the environment Venice Italy is a beautiful city that is surrounded by water. Unfortunately because of global warming and icecaps melting the water level in Venice is becoming higher which will eventually make the city be completely underwater. Currently the city of Venice is sinking slowly and will eventually be gone.

9 Types of Travelers -People who enjoy the water -Usually couples -Adults -Wealthy/Upper Class -Venturers -Dependables
