Is it ever hard for you to stop doing one activity and start another? You don’t want to stop something that is fun You don’t want to start something you don’t like You aren’t done yet and don’t want homework

What does it mean to transition from one classroom activity to another easily? We make an easy transition from one classroom activity to another promptly by listening to the direction to transition or paying attention to what time it is, put things you had out for activity in order to stay organized, follow the teacher’s direction or classroom routine for the next activity.

Why is making transitions easily and promptly important? You can get more work done Sometimes you will have time to do fun things

What are the steps to transitioning easily and promptly? 1. listen to direction when they are being given or pay attention to what time it is. 2. Pack up any materials you are finished with. 3. Get out any materials you need for the next activity. 4. Promptly get started on the new activity. 5. If you don’t understand, politely ask for help.

Practice….. You are enjoying writing time because you are writing in your new journal. Your teacher tells the class that it is now time for math.

Practice You are reading a new comic book you got over the weekend when your teacher says its time for science.
