Informational Slide n Standard and Format Tool Bars (just like Word and Excel) n With PowerPoint you have different views that you can enter your information on: –Slide View (you will use this one the most). –Outline View (not used often) –Slide Sorter View (used for transitions, animation, and arranging slides) –Notes Page View (you won’t use this one much) –Slide Show (starts the slide show) n Drawing Tool Bar

4. Problem 1 n Change the DESIGN for all slides. n Pick a design from FORMAT: Apply Design. Locate the Quick Key for Apply Design. n Note: The DESIGN is the background pattern of the slides. All of the slides in a slide presentation will have the same DESIGN.

5. Problem 2 n Change the background color of this slide only. n Use the FORMAT: Background … command. n Use the FORMAT: Slide Color Scheme … to see the various options. n Change the color of the text to better suit the color you chose for the background. (Use the font color Quick Key.)

6. Problem 3 n Indent the following: n Move this bullet one level in using the outline view. n Move this bullet two levels in using the slide view. n Move this bullet three levels in however you want.

7. Problem 4 n Change the Slide Layout for this slide. n You want to use a Title Bar and Bulleted Text as the layout. n Use FORMAT: Slide Layout

8. Problem 5 n Change the Font size of this text to 28. n Bold, Italicize, and Underline this text. n Right Justify this text. n Use the Quick Keys above to do this.

9. Problem 6 n Add clip art to this slide. n Take the bullets off of this slide.

10. Problem 7 n Insert a New Slide after this one. n Use the Drawing Toolbar below and use all of the buttons and experiment.

11. Problem 8 n Go to to the Slide Sorter View and choose a transition between the slides. ( SLIDE SHOW: Slide Transition…) n You may want to go to EDIT and SELECT ALL so that all of the slides have a transition. n The transition is how the next slide appears on the screen during a Slide Show.

12. Problem 9 n Go to Slide Sorter View and choose a Preset Animation... option for your slides. n You may want to Select all of the slides. n Preset Animation is how the bullets are presented on the screen.

13. Problem 10 n When your slide show is done, PowerPoint kicks into another view. n Rather than ending your presentation that way, you may want to have the screen go black. n Create a new slide and make it all black.

14. Problem 11 n View your Slide Presentation. The ESC key will stop the presentation before the end if you decide to change something. During the slide show, practice using the PENCIL in the bottom left corner. n Your done, experiment some on your own. n Good luck.
