11 Retinal Anatomy Inquiry - 3 hours Past Intern Panel - 1 hour Research Practice Activities - 1 1/2 hour Student Surveys ==> Used to evaluate quality of activities for next years planning

12 Current Possible Changes: - 5 day short course rather than 6 days? ==> what to cut from schedule? - Redesign and modify activities ==> To improve and meld with styles of different instructors - How can we improve on science writing? - Open to completely new activities! ==> Perhaps new Inquiry? Short Course Instructors work together in creating each years curriculum, building upon previous experience

13 Astronomy: 2 Lectures, 2 Activities Vision Science: 1 Lecture, 4 Activities Engineering: 1 Activity General (vision/astro/eng): 4 Activities Research Knowledge: 5 Activities/Lectures

14 An exceptional experience that accomplishes these goals: - Provides general background - Forms a community - Gives students confidence in presenting - And it’s FUN! Also, gives instructors superb hands-on experience in designing activities and teaching!
