Assessment Plan: Outcomes Institutional Requirements 1.Must have 3 student learning outcomes  Must clearly state what students are expected to demonstrate (knowledge, skills, attitudes) 2.Must have 2 institutional learning outcomes (Global and Leadership)  Certificates, stand-along minors and foundations units do NOT need to assess 2 institutional learning outcomes. 4

10. Hypothetical Example: In Compliance Actions Taken, Results, & Analysis of Results 1.CON simulation days were conducted in fall 2013. Students were prepared for these simulation activities by specific in-class assignments focused on acquiring and developing communication skills. Students worked in small groups prior to the simulation days in order to practice these skills in a more informal setting. Immediate feed back was given verbally to each group by instructors and peers. 2.100% of students (N=32) scored 3.5 or above on the rubric. 3.While the criterion was met for the overall rubric, the average score for professional communication skills in the “maintaining sterile field during catheritization” activity was only a 2.7. Faculty have decided that verbal and non-verbal communication skills in this specific activity need to be targeted for improvement next year. Actions Planned for Next Reporting Year 4.Practice sessions focused on verbal and non-verbal professional communication skills in “maintaining sterile field during catheritization” activities will be integrated into specific in-class assignments. Additional opportunities to demonstrate improvement in this area will be offered in the CON simulation days planned for fall 2014. 10
