Batch-type yield monitor- weighs grain in grain tank of a combine, a wagon which grain is loaded, or as grain tank of combine is unloaded. Instantaneous Yield Monitors- measures and records yields on-the-go.

Yield Data Collection- with a PC card data can be transferred to a computer by using a data card reader. Yield Mapping-needs geographic coordinates to associate with data, know as georeferencing.
