II. Classroom Teaching Procedure Part One: Vocabulary Link. (10minutes) 1. Present the vocabulary and explain the new ones. 2. Review the vocabulary by checking the answers. 3. Have students answer the question: Letter or e-mail, which do you prefer?

Part Two: Listening ---- I need to make a phone call (10minutes) 1. Explain new words related to telephone 2. Let students listen to the dialog and choose the best answer to each question. Expressions: This is…speaking. I’m sorry. He is not in. Someone isn’t able to get… Telephone directory/dial tone/answering machine

Part Three: Speaking ---- How do you spell that? (25minutes) 1. Present the useful expressions. 2. Ask each student to listen to the interview. 3. Pair work: What is the best way of communication? R: Study the profile of MTV first (p. 75) then create one. 4. Pair work: What can we benefit from cell phone? Expressions: What do you think of…? On one hand, …on the other hand,… The advantages are as follows.

Part Four: Video course--- Crazy for cell phones (45minutes). Preview the contents in this episode. (10minutes) R: read part A and finish part B. 2. While the students watch the video. (25minutes) R: 1st time: finish A and remember those useful expressions in this section. 2nd time: watch and fill in the blanks 3rd time: repeat the sentences in part C. 3. After you watch. (10minutes) R: group work: finish A, B and C.
