2 Referred Cases 1,203 cases were referred to settlement conference. 1,066 conferences were paid for in Fiscal Year 2010-11. 770 cases have been captured and are graphically displayed on the following charts. 394 cases are pending receipt of reports or actual conference. 39 cases were cancelled before reaching conference.

4 Agreement Rate 63.4% of referred cases successfully reached an agreement either during or soon after the conference Note: This does NOT include pending cases

5 Length of Conferences The average length of a conference is 3.2 hours.

6 Referring Circuit Courts  Virginia Beach has referred 16% of the cases during Fiscal Year 2010-11.  73% of all FY10-11 cases were referred by 10 courts in the Tidewater Area (Hampton, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, James City/Williamsburg, Norfolk, Newport News, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, York and Chesapeake).  27% of the cases in FY10-11 were referred by 68 other courts across Virginia.  A total of 78 circuit courts referred cases during the fiscal year.
