-Goals -Move away from traditional agriculture to mechanized as using chemical fertilizers. -Implementation of the Contract Responsibility System. “Increase the speed of agricultural mechanization, to struggle for the modernization of agriculture” How far ? -By 1993 with the implementation of the Contract Responsibility 90 percent of the households were participating and the production was better Was it successful? Yes, because this made China the world’s largest agricultural producer= improve the economy

-Goals -Industrialization that surpass capitalist countries, not focus on communist -Improvements on heavy industries: iron, coal How far? It was realized that these targets were ambitious so they had to be made again in a more reasonable way in order of not affecting in high levels to the economy Was it successful? It was successful, However not as it was expected at first with more radical changes on the industry camp, but on the economic aspect, it improved.

-Goals -Increase standards on the military technology and science -Change the antiquate infrastructure -Fire the incompetent people on the army How far? -Increased expenditures for the innovation of the army -There was more control on the Central military comission directed by Deng who Was it successful? - Not at all, cause it took many years to China to integrate this new technology to the antiquated infrastructure

-Goals -Only be 10 years behind developed countries - Increase the number of professional scientific researchers -Develop the centers of experimentation - How far? Lot of projects were initiated on different fields for reaching higher levels faster. -Was it successful? -Not at all because although the government had invested lot of money, the results were not seen very fast as they were so delayed
