3 Education/Training You don’t need to take any college courses or have much prior experience, most places will provide you with on the job training.

4 Salary Photographers make about $38,200 per year. It depends on where you live and if you work for a business or on your own.

5 Attributes and Abilities You have to be able to take a decent picture with a steady hand, know how to adjust the picture with natural or artificial light, and maintain a portfolio with all of your work in it.

6 Job Outlook The job growth expectancy of photographers is likely to increase by 20% in the next ten years (as of 2011).
