4. If we have 2 apples and someone gives us 3 more, we end up with a total of 5 apples.

7. 1 2 3 4 5 2 apples+ 3 apples equals 5 apples in all

8. If we need 6 apples for a pie, we might use 4 red apples and 2 yellow apples. This would give us a total of 6 apples.

10. 4 red apples + 2 yellow apples 6 apples
